Do I need to know anything about crypto to use Scealia?

How much does it cost?
Your first certificates are on the house. After that, pricing is per-proof or via a modest monthly plan, no subscription required to keep what's already yours.
What is the legal value of my Scealia report?
An ordinary timestamp is admissible in court and can prove decisive. However, it is subject to the judge's free assessment. Its effectiveness depends notably on other items of evidence accompanying it to support your good faith.

Conversely, files certified by Scealia benefit from a qualified electronic timestamp in compliance with the European eIDAS regulation. This higher legal qualification creates a reversal of the burden of proof thanks to a legal presumption of the timestamp and the file's integrity. This guarantee is legally binding and recognized by all jurisdictions in the European Union.

N.B.: a Scealia report does not replace and is not equivalent to a report drawn up by a commissioner of justice.
Is my actual file stored on the blockchain?
No, and that's by design. Only a SHA-256 fingerprint of your file is stored on-chain. The file itself stays encrypted in your private vault, which means your content is never exposed publicly, only provably yours.
Who can prove something is mine?
You, or anyone you share the proof with. The certificate is a public record: a court, an insurer, a platform, a buyer, or a simple web verifier can all independently confirm that the file existed at that moment and was signed by your certificate.
What if I lose my phone?
They don't depend on your device. Restore Scealia on a new phone with your Scealia account, and everything is right where you left it.
What happens if Scealia disappears one day?
Your proofs survive us. Because every certificate is recorded on a public blockchain and issued by independent Certificate Authorities, they remain verifiable even without our servers. Your proofs remain available in your vault.
